The actuator board in Necta Festival is responsible for operating the sliders (sliding doors that allow accessing products from the product’s disk). Its faults are a very common cause of improper door operation and overall machine malfunction.

Most common faults of Necta Festival actuator board

  • Blown fuse - the fuse on the board burns out immediately after power is supplied or during an attempt to open a slider
  • Sliders do not open - sliders remain closed despite product selection
  • Flashing “Slider opening” message - during an attempt to open, the main display continuously flashes the message “Slider opening” (the machine does not detect the open position)

How to diagnose

The board is mounted on the inside of the large door (the door for the disc trays), in the lower section, beneath the metal shield/cover.

  1. Check the fuse on the board - if it is blown → this is almost certainly due to a fault in the actuator board.
  2. Run the slider test from the service menu - if sliders do not move or the “Slider opening” message flashes endlessly → the problem is in this board.
  3. Measure voltage at the output connectors to the slider motors - no voltage on command to open confirms board damage.
